Hoglah (which means dancing) was one of the five Daughters of Zelophehad. The five Daughters of Zelophehad are mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and raised before the Israelite community the case of a woman’s right and obligation to inherit property in the absence of a male heir in the family. They demonstrated their wisdom by raising their case in a timely fashion and demonstrated their righteousness by marrying men who were fitting for them.
